This Weekend: Celebrating a Milestone with a Vehicle Showcase

We're thrilled to announce a significant milestone at Nice: the completion of our second pilot vehicle! What's particularly exciting is that we finished this project in about half the time it took to complete our first conversion—tangible proof that our manufacturing-first approach to EV conversions is working.

A Growing Electric Fleet

Our two electric Samurais represent more than just individual conversions—they demonstrate our vision for making EV technology accessible through standardized, repeatable processes. By treating conversions as a manufacturing challenge rather than a series of one-off custom projects, we're developing systems that dramatically reduce both cost and conversion time.

The second Samurai benefited from everything we learned during our first build. We improved vehicle performance, standardized component mounts, refined our battery packaging, and documented every step of the process. The result? A more efficient build that maintains the same high quality standards while cutting production time by approximately 50%.

See Both Vehicles This Weekend

If you're in Southern California, we invite you to see these vehicles in person this weekend:

  • Saturday, March 29th (9-11am): South OC Cars & Coffee at Outlets At San Clemente (101W Avenida Vista Hermosa)

  • Sunday, March 30th (7-10am): Cars & Coffee Los Angeles at Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round Lot #1 (4730 Crystal Springs Dr)

Members of the Nice team will be on hand to answer questions about the conversion process, performance specifications, and our vision for scaling EV conversions. We're eager to connect with both enthusiasts and potential customers—whether you're curious about converting your own vehicle or simply interested in sustainable transportation solutions.

Why Conversions Matter

At Nice, we believe that vehicle conversions represent a critical but often overlooked pathway to sustainable transportation. By converting existing vehicles rather than manufacturing new ones, we:

  • Reduce embodied carbon: Converting an existing vehicle produces up to 80% less carbon emissions than manufacturing a new EV

  • Preserve heritage: Keep beloved vehicle models on the road while eliminating tailpipe emissions

  • Promote circularity: Extend the useful life of existing assets rather than consuming new resources

  • Create accessibility: Provide an affordable entry point to EV ownership without the premium price tag of new electric vehicles

Our Samurai conversions feature a 37kWh battery pack with up to 120-mile range, maintain the original 4WD capability, and have dual chargers to increase Level 2 charging time —proving that going electric doesn't mean compromising on performance or utility.

Looking Ahead

As we continue to refine our processes, we're working toward our goal of reducing conversion time from the industry standard of 6-12+ months to just 2 weeks. This breakthrough will allow us to scale operations, serve more customers, and accelerate the transition to sustainable transportation.

We're actively building our customer waitlist and will be announcing our next vehicle platform soon. If you're interested in a conversion or simply want to stay updated on our progress, join our mailing list or contact us directly.

We hope to see many of you at the car shows this weekend. Come say hello and experience the future of classic vehicles—reimagined for a sustainable world.
